Characteristics of Leprosy                                                   Characteristics of Sin

 

1.       No relief (Job 2:7-8)                                                          1.  Ever before me (Ps. 51:3; 38:4)

2.       Skin is spotted & stained (Lev. 13-14).                             2.  Soul is stained (James 1:27;

3.       Sleeplessness & Scary dreams (Job 7:13-14; 30:17).                     3.  No rest (Rev. 14:11;

4.       Isolation from God’s people (Lev. 13-14).                                    4.  Separation (Isa. 59:1-2)

What made the leper well?

 

I.  He Possessed the Proper Attitude (Vs. 40).

 

A.  Boldness “A Leper came to Him”.  Lepers could not encounter the  public.

 

 

          B.  Willingness to be healed “Imploring, Begging Him”

 

 

          C.  Humility of heart “Kneeling Down”.

 

 

          D.  Faith “You can make me whole”.

 

 

II.  Jesus Loves Healing the Unclean (Vs. 41-42).

 

          A.  See the wonderful love of Christ “moved w/compassion”

 

          B.  Christ willingness to be cleans “I am willing…”
