“How to Make the Devil Mad”

 

Intro:

A.    Have you stopped lately to think of all the havoc the Devil has wreaked on

Humanity.

           

B.     For Example:

1.      Adam & Eve (Gen. 3, Jn. 8:44)

2.      Job’s temptation – calamity (Job 1 & 2)

3.      David’s Census Sin – (1 Chron. 21:1)

4.      The temptation of our savior (Matt. 4)

5.      Judas awful betrayal (Lk. 22:3, Jn. 13:2)

6.      Hindered the work in the 1st century (1 Thes. 2:18)

7.      Is trying to devour & destroy you today (1 pet. 5:8, Rev. 12:9)

 

C.     In light of all that Satan has done to humanity we should have a righteous

Anger against the devil ( Ps. 4:4)

 

D.    If so, I want to tell you how you can turn the tables on the Devil to make

him mad.  (Prov. 25:22)

 

 

I.                   Be more faithful than ever ( Rev. 2::10, 2 Cor. 5:14-15, Gal. 2:20, Rom. 12:1-2,

Josh. 24:15, Lk. 9:23)

A.    The one thing that Satan hates is fidelity & dedication to God. ( Mk. 12:30)

B.     Here are some ways you can be more faithful:

1.      Be more faithful in attendance. (Heb. 10:25, Matt. 6:33 – The Bible

does not advocate Sunday morning only Christianity. (Ps. 84:10)

2.      Be more faithful in following Jesus example. (Rev. 14:4, 1 Cor. 11:1,

1 Pet. 2:21, Acts 4: 13)

                         3.  Be more faithful in encouraging & exhorting others. ( Heb. 3:12-13,

                              Daily, we should encourage the weak, downtrodden & hurting.

 

C.     “Where he leads me I will follow –Except to church or worship on Sunday 

         Night & Wednesday.

 

 

II.                Give more than ever before. (Lk. 6:38)

A.    The devil hates good givers!  He does not want you to give properly.

 

B.     Notice the Bible teaching on giving:

 

1.      Giving should be regular (1 Cor. 16: 1-2)

2.      As you have prospered (1 cor. 16:2) Notice the implications of this:

a.       Not what is in the wallet at the last minute

b.       Not to meet the budget!

c.       Those who are wealthier are required to give more. (Lk. 12:48)

3.      Cheerful & liberal (2 Cor. 9:6-7)

a.       Give with a happy spirit

b.      Be liberal minded in giving

4.      Give yourself First. (2 Cor. 8:5)

                  

C.     The benefits of giving.

1.      It gives the giver a rewarded feeling (Acts 20: 35)

2.      You are promised more in return.( Prov. 11:24-25, Lk. 6:38,

2 Cor. 9:6-7

 

 

D.    What your money does.

1.      Not to pay the lights

2.      Supports the work of saving souls in Hydro

3.      In Groatia

4.      Helps train young preachers

 

III.             Be more evangelistic than before!

A.    The devil would love to turn  Mk. 16:15-16 backwards

 

IV.             Pray more often & Ardent than ever. (1 Pet. 3:7, 12, Ps. 66:18, Prov. 28:9)

V.                Obey the gospel now! (2 Cor. 6:2, Isa. 55:6, Rom. 6:17, James 1:21, Rom.1:16-17, Jn. 8:31-32)
